Why have the energy labels changed?
The European energy label dates back to 1992 and has undergone gradual updates, resulting in a scale from A++ to G. The purpose of the label is to provide information about how much energy your appliances consume and to make it easy to compare products.
Technological advances in recent years have made this scale obsolete. The different A +, A ++ and A +++ and lower classes make it difficult to make the right choice.
The European Commission has therefore developed a new energy label, with the aim of:

- More clarity
- Stricter energy classes
From March 1, 2021, everyone will have implemented the new energy labels.
Reliability of the energy label
As a wine cabinet manufacturer, we are required to put an energy label on our products. The information on the label is provided on the basis of self-declaration.

Why did you receive two energy labels with your wine cabinet?
Starting November 1, 2020, all of our wine cabinets will have two labels. One shows the current ratings, A +++ to G, and the other shows an energy efficiency rating from A to G, which will come into effect in March 2021. We wanted to use this transition period to familiarize you with this new development.
Why is the energy class not the same ?
For the same product, you may have noticed a difference in class between the new label and the one consulted in the store, on our website or on your supplier's website. This is the result of new testing methods used to assign energy classes, set up as part of new European regulations. Rest assured, you have made the right choice, your wine cabinet is as economical as ever.
How do you read the new energy label?
- A scale from A to G. Classes A +, A ++ and A +++ no longer apply.
- There is a QR code on the label. It allows you to access all the specifications of your product from your smartphone. This information is contained in one European database called EPREL (European product database for energy labeling)
