EuroCave reveals results of comparative study on vibration in wine cabinets
EuroCave, the inventor of the wine cabinet, is constantly working towards perfection by continuing to invest in research and development. To continuously improve our products, we monitor the effectiveness of our products with the help of scientific studies. With this in mind, EuroCave commissioned experts from the INSA* to conduct a comparative study on vibration in wine cabinets. The results were conclusive: EuroCave wine cabinets generate 20 times less vibration than its competition. A conclusion that gives consumers just a little more information to make a better choice for their wine cabinet.

Results of the study
Four experts from INSA spent four months conducting research on EuroCave wine cabinets and comparable wine cabinets from competitors. Vibration measurements were taken using a high-precision laser vibrometer at various points in the wine cabinets, directly on the shelves and on the bottles. In addition, smart sensors were installed on the shelves, the compressor, and on top of the bottles. The study was conducted on both full and empty wine cabinets to ensure comparable results. This is because a full wine cabinet automatically dampens more vibrations.
Oenological insight
To preserve wine in the best possible conditions, a wine cabinet or wine cellar must meet a number of criteria. Among other things, the wine must be protected from all possible vibrations to ensure its quality.

EuroCave respects wine. EuroCave respects the intentions of wine producers. "We are therefore the only producer who continuously improves the quality of its production by holding scientific studies. The results of this comparative vibration study confirms our status as an expert and demonstrates our excellent R&D department." Thus Paul Marchand, President and CEO of EuroCave.

Results of the study
The measured vibrations in EuroCave wine cabinets (Figure 1) are significantly lower than in comparable competitor products (Figure 2). The level of vibration is up to five to six times lower in an empty EuroCave wine cabinet. The measurement of vibration in a filled wine cabinet shows a result of as much as 20 times less vibration in a EuroCave wine cabinet. The measured vibrations on the bottles, which were virtually zero in EuroCave wine cabinets, can be explained by the effectiveness of the materials used (Figure 4), such as the Sommelier's Hand (a patented bottle holder), the suspension of the shelves and the unique EuroCave wine cabinet design. These results show the work done by EuroCave 's R&D department and its continuous quest to improve its already excellent products in order to develop wine cabinets that are ever more efficient, easy to use and pleasing to the eye.
Research and development of EuroCave - Majority of studies to ensure effectiveness
This research on vibration is the second study commissioned by EuroCave. In 2016, EuroCave revealed the results of a scientific study on the evolution of a wine after opening a bottle. After eight months of research and experimentation, the University of Viticulture and Winemaking in Burgundy confirmed the effectiveness of EuroCave's vacuum system. A selection of expert wine tasters confirmed these results, after they could find no difference in a just-opened wine bottle and a wine bottle kept open for 10 days in a Wine Bar.
