Which type suits you?

There are many designations for wine cabinets and everyone means something different, let us work it out for you:

Wine storage cabinet

A wine storage cabinet is a wine cabinet with 1 temperature zone suitable for storing wine under the most ideal conditions: constant temperature, relatively high humidity, natural air circulation, vibration-free, dark and free of odors.

Wine cooler

A wine cooler can have 2 or multi-temperature zones. A 2 temperature zone wine cabinet has a section for serving white wine and idem for red wine. A multi-temperature zone wine cabinet can have up to 10 different temperature zones so that all wines, from champagne to bordeaux, are ready at the correct drinking temperature.

Wine cooler

By wine climate cabinet we usually mean a wine service cabinet, i.e. with different temperature zones. However, we can also say that all wine cabinets that control a climate for storing wine (temperature, humidity and air circulation) are wine climate cabinets.

Wine refrigerator

A wine refrigerator is usually used when talking about a 1 temperature zone wine cabinet for storing wine. But it could also be used for having white wine ready at serving temperature.

Wine Frigo

Wine Frigo is mainly used in Belgium and the same description applies to this as to wine refrigerator.

Wine cabinet 1 temperature zone

By specifying the temperature zones, the use of the wine cabinet becomes immediately clear. All you need to know is between how many degrees the wine cabinet can be set. At EuroCave , this is usually between 5 and 20 degrees Celsius. All wines are stored for a long time at about 12 degrees Celsius. All other settings can be used to have the wines ready at serving temperature.

Wine cabinet 2 temperature zones

A wine cabinet with 2 temperature zones is made to have both white and red wine ready at drinking temperature. So one part of the wine cabinet is set to have white wine ready to drink and the other part is set to have red wine ready to drink.

Wine cabinet 3 temperature zones

This is a perfect wine cabinet for private use, 3 temperature zones. The largest area in the wine cabinet is for storing the wine, so at about 12 degrees Celsius. At the top is a chamber compartment, where 12 bottles of red wine can be ready at drinking temperature and at the bottom of the wine cabinet is the fraper compartment, where at least 12 bottles of white wine can be ready at drinking temperature.

Wine cabinet multi-temperature zones

The wine cabinets with multi-temperature zones are very special: by setting the lowest temperature at the bottom (e.g. 7 degrees Celsius) and setting the highest temperature at the top of the wine cabinet (e.g. 18 degrees Celsius), the wine cabinet itself distributes the temperature.
